Bushman
The bow of the Bushman held out, the truncated limb, the serrated spine and the long neck are formal metaphorical elements employed to reflect pride, even arrogance of the hunter. Important in Maureen Quin’s bronze sculptures is the balance between form and space; the negative space in this bronze sculpture is highly expressive.
